Zoo

We finally got a break from the heat last weekend! It rained for two days straight which was awesome, making Sunday a perfect cool day for the zoo! We tried something new this time...we fed the Lorikeets! We always pass up that exhibit because I'm terrified of birds but I was feeling adventurous so we went in. The people working it said not to touch the birds. Well...the first bird we decided to feed jumped right onto Ella's arm then onto Josh and started eating. Crazy!!! I freaked out and Ella of course wanted out of that place that second! It was pretty cool though after the fact.

Nate and the Girl's Visit

This past week my Josh's brother Nate and our 3 neices came to visit! They are so adorable! Hard to believe the last time we saw them was when Ella and Mia were 6 months old! We were excited to see how the girls would communicate with eachother because they are Deaf and use sign language. At first Ella asked why I was talking so slow and quiet (while using my hands). Then as we explained it she was AMAZED! She wanted to do everything with them including taking baths and sleeping:) They figured out how to communicate and Ella even picked up a few signs herself! We had a great time hanging out, going to the pool and catching up. It was so nice to see you guys! We miss you!!

Updated Ella

Time sure does fly....Ella has grown up so much this summer! She learned how to ride a big bike with training wheels, swim with floaties, chew gum, dance ballet, and best of all use the toilet! We are so proud of her! She has become such a little sweetheart (she always was but even more now that terrible twos seem to be over)! She's so grown up continues to put a smile on our faces a million times a day:)

Ohio Trip!

We went for a long summer trip to Ohio to stay at my parents place on Lake Erie. We had a ton of fun relaxing and hanging out with the family! Ella became officially potty trained, learned how to ride a big kid bike and chew gum! She was busy! We rode a ferry to an island called Put-in-Bay and golf carted around, went to the butterfly garden and had ice cream. Ella enjoyed playing with all of her cousins (Kenzie, Andrew, Maddy and Livi). We went wine tasting at Mon Ami and then got to stay with the older cousins to enjoy ourselves while the grandparents took all the little ones home! That was a nice break:) There was a 4th of July parade by my parents place. Ella was SOO excited that everyone was throwing candy, she didn't know what to do with herself! I miss my family so much!!! It was so nice to see you all!!!!!

Father's Day!

Josh is the most amazing father to Ella! It's precious how much Ella adores him! She looks up to him like I do to my dad. If something's broke...her response is always, "Dadddy can fix it!" Ella and I are so lucky to wake up with him and kiss him goodnight everyday!! He works so hard and succeeds in everything that he does! What a role model!!

For Father's Day my dad and Josh wanted to go relax at the pool. We picked up some sandwiches to take with us, relaxed for a few hours and then went out to dinner. Happy Father's Day! You two are the best!

We have a ton of pictures of Josh and Ella but this one is my favorite!

Rockies vs. Indians

For a belated Father's Day present we went to the Rockies game. They were playing the Cleveland Indians which of course is our other team! Surprisingly enough we pulled for the Rockies! They played awesome and won by a few runs!

Check out my fat lip!

Ella was running at the pool and slipped! It looked so painful! Luckily it was just her lip...as we thought she had messed up her teeth!

Memorial Day

We decided to take a little family trip up to Breckenrige for Memorial Day weekend! It was so relaxing! We watched a million movies, read magazines, cooked, rode the ATV around, hung out by the fire, etc. It was a perfect to have such quality time with just the three of us:) Sunday afternoon we went into town to go shopping and then we had dinner at a little Italian place. The food was amazing!
