Zoo

I took the girls to the zoo this week. It was SOOOO nice to get out of the house for the day!! Great weather too which made it even better:) It's amazing how long it takes us to get out the door these days;) We rode the carousel but had to sit in one of the non-moving chairs since Brooklyn rode with us. The girls and I had a really fun day!

Update

Girls are great:) We haven't done much lately but stay home and adjust so our pictures aren't very exciting! We did get a chance to put up Halloween decorations last night and Ella was thrilled! Simba has been great with the baby, very sweet and gentle. I'm about to rip his head off though but I keep reminding myself...he's a puppy...he doesn't know any better...he'll grow out of it! Looking forward to that day for sure:)

Brooklyn is getting bigger everyday...weighing in at 6lbs 7oz now:) She has the LONGEST toes, just like Ella and Josh:) She began getting really fussy this week, we've been in and out of the pediatrician. Unfortunately, we found out that she has the same formula allergies as Ella did. She can't tolerate milk-based or soy formula so she's now on a hypoallergenic kind called Nutramigen:( She also has acid reflux just like her sister did as well! She started taking Zantac today and will be on that everyday until she out grows it. Hopefully the new formula and Zantac will help her tiny little tummy!

Ella continues to be a great big sister! She LOVES to feed Brooklyn as you can see. She also loves to check in on her and ask how she's doing:) Josh and I had no idea a 3 year old could talk SO much and SO loud!! She loves having Brooklyn here more and more each day which is so much fun! We are looking forward to getting out and about very soon! The Pumpkin Patch is waiting!!!

Update

All is well at the Wheeler house! Brooklyn is such a sweet, happy baby and Ella is such an amazing big sister:) Ella loves to wear matching jammies with her sister and enjoys helping with anything and everything she can!! She has a stepping stool in Brooklyn's room so she can help change her and pull wipes when we need them. It's really sweet.

Brooklyn -- 6 days old!

Wow...what a week!! We came home from the hospital on Monday and are adjusting to our new life:) This whole experience has been so different, as if we were having our first child all over again....we were able to keep her in our hospital room the entire time, bring her home after just a couple days, hold her anytime we wanted, etc. Sooooo much better than having a baby in the NICU! Soooo much more fun and relaxed!

Brooklyn is an incredible baby! She sleeps great, eats great, and is such a sweetheart:) Ella has been such an amazing sister to her. She loves her so much and always lets her know it! We have had help from our family and friends all week which we appreciate more than anything!! Thank you!!

Brooklyn has a little bit of jaundice but instead of having us go back into the hospital, they were able to send the lights to our house:) The light wrapped around her in her blanket, making her look like a little glow worm. Great news, today we were able to take her off the lights as the jaundice is almost gone!

We are so excited to have Brooklyn home with us and are enjoying our sweet little girls:)
