Brooklyn's First Set of Stitches

Poor Brooklyn...as you can see by the smile on her face it didn't phase her a all! We had just finished visiting Josh's grandparents in Oak Ridge and we were getting ready to head to Gatlinburg, TN for a fun weekend. We were loading the car, Ella was already in the car, Josh was grabbing one last thing inside and I was grabbing the diaper bag from the trunk to put in the car with us...Brooklyn was sitting on a little gardening wagon type thing and just as I went to get her...she tipped over and fell smack on her face! There was so much blood that we thought she had broken her nose or lost some teeth!!! We grabbed a rag, jumped in the car and headed to the emergency room. We had no idea where we were so Josh's Grandad led the way in front of us. Brooklyn did great, they had to put her under because they tried to sedate her but she was laughing and talking so much that it just wasn't going to work. The whole process took about 5 hours as they had to do 3 layers of stitches! Ella was a trooper and watched the entire thing while taking care of Brooklyn's baby:) It was a nightmare! We are so thankful that it was just a deep cut and not her nose/teeth!!
