The town Franklin that we live in has so much history! There was a big battle fought here during the civil war so there were plantations involved, cemeteries all over the place where soldiers were buried, cannons, forts, bridges, trails, etc. It's very interesting. This was the first plantation we have seen when Grandma Wendy came to visit. It was lived in by one family who were just hanging out one night together after dinner and the confederate troops came marching up, started a battle nearby and turned their house into a confederate hospital. The family stayed and helped bury 1500 soldiers on their property. Neat house, neat stories but kind of creepy because the floors are still blood stained by the soldiers who were treated there.
