Treasure Hunting
Josh's birthday Part 2: We started Geocaching again...referred to as "Treasure Hunting" in our house. Friends of ours in Colorado told us about it and we had no idea how big it is! People all over the country hide little treasures and mark them with a GPS location. When you get to the location you have to search for a cache (which can be a box, canister, whatever) and it has treasures inside of it. They always have a list in them to log your name and date but sometimes they have other fun little trinket things that you can take and leave something of yours in it's place. The girls love it! We have so much fun treasure hunting!
This was the first one we found this day, it was hidden in a guard rail. |
Ella is holding it in her hand, this one was a little rubber canister that had a list inside. When you find them, you add your name to the list and put it back for others to find. |
Ella is holding the truck (it's called a Travel Bug) |
Josh is logging our name and date. |
Watermelon Festival
Aunt Kate, she was able to stay with us for two weeks before she moved to California. We had a ton of fun with her and miss her so much! |
Brushing the sheep |
Yumm...we all agree that this was the best watermelon we've ever eaten! |
Pony Rides! |
Lucky Ladd Farm Truck |
Ella and Josh loved this slide! |
Feeding all of the random animals...sheep, goats, pigs, bunnies, llamas, etc. |
This bubble pool looked like a ton of fun until they were actually in it. That's as far as they went. |
Milking a Cow |
Can you find Ella? |
Cute signs to totally confuse you! |
Brooklyn did not like this slide! |
Memory Boards
I don't consider myself a very crafty person but with Aunt Kate's help and a You Tube video, we were able to pull off some pretty cute memory boards for the girl's rooms!
Taking a break, playing some games |
I couldn't tell who was more excited, the girls or me and Kate! |
Ella helped me sew the buttons on:) |
